Money Rain

The monsoon has arrived in India. It is raining. But, as usual, it is raining water. Though, a precious commodity that has made many a millionaires who are selling it, water is still for drinking & cleaning for the common man. If only it had rained money flooding the streets – as it did a few days ago in Indonesia when Tung Desem Waringin, an author, showered money from a helicopter on a city near Jakarta to promote his new book – this blog would have been immaterial.

But, as the heavens don’t shower us with money, we have to earn it. And, there are only two ways of earning money notwithstanding all the tall claims of minting money made by tall financial wizards or even by people distributing fliers asking you to work from home and become millionaires while they themselves are out on the streets distributing the fliers come rain or shine. Remember, there are only TWO ways of earning money. One way of earning money is by sheer hard work. The other way is by sleeping around. That’s the fundamental truth; the ground reality that money does not rain from the skies. Take your pick.

These two ways of earning money have been there since time immemorial. It is not something new. It is not a great discovery. It’s just that you must have not realized it until now. Hard work is another reason why money is frequently called “hard cash”.

Money can be obtained in exchange for something, i.e. you should have something to sell. That something could be a product or a service.

Any product that you want to sell should be good and appealing for which you have to work hard – to manufacture the product as well as to market the product. You also have to work hard to provide efficient service to your clients. In any case, it is hard work all the way. The easy avenue is down the sleaze street.
